Larry Raymond Foster “Butch” age 79 of Rocky Mount passed away suddenly on Monday, April 26, 2021. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who loved his children dearly and was always helping them. Butch worked for Turner Ready Mix 20 years and retired from Virginia Department of Transportation with 20 years of service. Butch was born March 2, 1942, son of the late Harry and Norma Kelly Foster. Surviving are his wife, Annie Brown Foster “Jerri”, children, Sandra Moses (Jerry), Todd Foster (Loretta), Heather Angle (Jon),  grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Danielle and  Megan Jones, Chelsie Foster (Jamie Hale), Aeriel and Sierra Helton, Tyler Angle, great-grandchildren, Haley Quinn, Leanne Smith (Blaine), Zoey Hite, Tyler Jones, Hannah and Austin Hall, Presleigh Hale, great-great-grandchild, Ryleigh Elmore, sister, Barbara Cummings (Chuck), sisters-in-law, Betty, Jeanette and Linda Brown, Ada Wray, Jean Mullins (Clyde), Merle Eames, Lou Lynch (Charles), Barbara Franklin (Roger), numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Gracie. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bradley Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Brown Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
