Laura Cooper Blair, age 89 of Rocky Mount passed away Friday, August 12, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Blair. Laura was a long time employee of Leggett’s Department Store in Rocky Mount. She is survived by two grateful daughters and son-in-law, Linda B. and Bobby Brugh, Betty C. Blair; three grandsons, seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her special caretakers, Bonnie Altice, Crystal Hannabass, Jamie Bernard and Betty Hodges; two sisters-in-law, Katherine Terry and Nancy Cooper. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday with Dr. Jack Corvin officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Franklin County Rescue Squad, Rocky Mount Baptist Church or a charity of your choice. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
