Laura Elizabeth Foutz Meeks

Laura Elizabeth Foutz Meeks, age 79 of Rocky Mount died Wednesday, September 28, 2011. She was born on February 2, 1932, in Bedford County, VA a daughter of the late Wordie J. and Teressa Wheeler Foutz. She is survived by her husband, William Edward Meeks; a son and daughter-in-law, H.L. and Teresa Nolen; a step-daughter and husband, Darnell and James Vipperman; grandchildren and spouses, J.P. and Ashley Nolen, Ashley and Chris Moore; step-grandchildren and spouses, Tammy and Paul McCarthy, Tonya and Rick Rockett; a sister, Mary Foutz Wade; a brother and sister-in-law, Riley and Mary Jane Foutz; great-grandchild, Drew Nolen; and step-great-grandchildren, Jackson Rockett, Leon McCarthy, Lilly Rockett, and Magnus McCarthy. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Graveside services will be conducted from Franklin Memorial Park 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 with Pastor David Braxton and Pastor Nick Varnado officiating.
