Lawrence Darrell Snead

Lawrence Darrell Snead, age 91, of Ferrum went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 3, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Etta Nichols Snead; a sister Viola Garrett; and his parents.  Left to cherish his memory are son Michael McManus and daughter-in-law Margaret, and grandsons Evan McManus and wife Jade, Daniel McManus, and Jackson McManus. Also surviving are in laws Bud Nichols (Shelby Jean), Bessie Peters (Eugene), Glendola Midkiff, and Della Price as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the retired Pastor of Christian Faith Baptist Church where he served for 33 years. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. Family will receive visitors from 5:00-7:00 Monday, July 5 at Flora Funeral Service in Rocky Mount. Graveside services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 6 at Endicott Hill Cemetery on Endicott Hill Road, Ferrum, with the Rev. Calvin Adams, Rev. Tracy Freeman, and Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. After the service, family and friends are welcome at the home for a time of refreshments and fellowship.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Christian Faith Baptist Church, Ferrum, VA.
