Lealda Thurman Angle

Lealda “Sis” Angle, age 91 of Rocky Mount passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 4, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Mary Thurman; and husband, Joseph Houston Angle. Survivors include her children, Linda Hartley (Andrew), Ronnie Angle (Kathy), Danny Angle (Willa), Barbara Brown (Phillip), and Mary Jane Turner (Christopher); seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Stanley and Pauline Finn; and brother, David Thurman. "Sis" was a member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church and in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the church. Special thanks to Patty and Larry Toler and the entire staff at Red Oak Manor for taking such great care of Mom, also to Gina Lambert for being a good friend and roommate, and Pastor Joe Dillion for his weekly visits. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Flora Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Dillion officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
