Lee Meador

Clifton Lee Meador, 71 of Wirtz, VA died on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. Lee proudly served his country in the United States Army, and worked with the phone company until his retirement. He worked on his beloved farm his entire life, carrying out the Meador Farm legacy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hatcher and Sylvia Holland Meador; brother, Dick; niece, Holly Farmer. Survived by his son, Keith Meador and daughter Kim Meador Powell (Lee); sister, Bertie Farmer (David); special friend, Janice Thurman; mother of his children, Linda Meador; his grandchildren, Griffin Hatcher and Brynn Margaret Meador, Gavin and Emma Powell; nephews, Jeff and Andy Farmer. His family wishes to thank all of our special friends and neighbors for all their help and prayers. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2018 with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends from 5-8 pm. Friday at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount.
