Lennie Young Harrison, age 90 of Ferrum passed away Thursday, October 22, 2009. She was born June 10, 1919 a daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Rosie Lee Young. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt E. Harrison; daughter, Iris Marie Bennett; three brothers; and three sisters. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Roger L. Harrison and wife Alee; three grandchildren, James Michael Bennett and fiancé Trina Maxey, Chester Dale Harrison, Joyce Humburg and husband David; two great-grandchildren, Lee Ann Bennett and Cynthia Marie Humburg; one step-grandson, Milton Hartman; one step-granddaughter, Martha Lovell and husband Troy. Graveside services will be conducted from the Young Family Cemetery 2 p.m. Sunday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Her family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount.
