Leona Faye Wright

Leona Faye Wright, age 80 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, November 15, 2011. She was born September 1, 1931 a daughter of the late William and Blanche Thornhill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Wright; two sisters, Janet Wright and Betty Shively; and one brother, Douglas Thornhill. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Deborah Thornhill; grandson, Kevin Thornhill; sister, Jean Wagner; numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted from the Gibson Family Cemetery 1 p.m. Thursday with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the local SPCA. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
