Lester Irving Thompson

Lester Irving Thompson, age 85 of Ferrum died Tuesday, May 7, 2024. He was born June 20, 1938 a son of the late Peter and Maude Thompson. He was also preceded in death by his son, Richard Lynn Thompson; and brothers, Gene Thompson, Buford Thompson and Curtis Thompson. Surviving are his daughter, Rhonda Pendleton (Marque); granddaughter, Jordan Philpott; sister, Gladys Tosh; numerous nieces and nephews. Lester was an Auctioneer with Thompson Auction Service. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Thursday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
