Lettie Jane Sanders, age 100 of Henry, passed away Friday September 14, 2007.
She was born April 11, 1907 to the late Walter and Dora Shelton Tatum. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Crite, Russell, Lee, Tobe, Buck and Archie Tatum, Irene Norge and Augusta Linkous.
She retired as a registered nurse for Morehead City Hospital in Morehead City, NC with 40 years of service. At the time of her death she was the oldest member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. She was a jolly person who found laughter in all aspects of life and will be greatly missed by all.
Surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Her family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Mill Creek Baptist Church, 6200 Henry Rd., Henry, VA 24102.
Funeral services will be conducted from Mill Creek Baptist Church 4:00 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Billy Tatum and Rev. Tom Teems officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Her family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service Sunday at the church.
