Lewis Eldridge Sigmon, age 99 of Callaway, joined his loving wife of 74 years, Wilma Gladys Sigmon in their eternal home on Sunday, September 7, 2008. He was preceded in death by two sons, Walter and Perry Sigmon; 10 brothers and four sisters. Left to cherish his memory are sons and daughters-in law, Bobby and Emmaline Sigmon, Larry and Linda Sigmon, Elizabeth Sigmon and Irene Sigmon; grandchildren, Darlene Hunt, Charles Sigmon, Rodney Sigmon, Donna Hodges, Mike Sigmon, Reggie Sigmon, Regena Sigmon, Kathy Forbes, Tony Sigmon, Mark Sigmon, Debbie Young; step-grandchild, Libby Wimmer; 30 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, John (Bigun) and Hazel Pendleton; caregivers, Emma Woods, Sylvia Underwood; Carilion Hospice; and Dr. George Chaconas. The family would like to give special thanks and appreciation to Emma and Sylvia who were his companions and caregivers. Their dedication and love for “papa” enabled him to stay home and be with his family. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev.
