Lillian Blair Anderson, age 83 of Union Hall passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008.
She died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. Lillian was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She loved all of God's creatures great and small. Her passion was gardening as well as playing duplicate bridge. She will be remembered by her family and friends as small in stature but with a very big heart.
She was born the daughter of the late Seab and Cora Blair. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Andy Anderson, married for 57 years.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Elizabeth Ann Stewart and her husband Charles of Houston Texas, Jim Anderson and his wife Vickie of Richmond, Kentucky, Nancy Hahn and her husband Gary of Union Hall, Virginia, Alice Dowdy and her husband Tom of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Bill Anderson and his wife Oddny of Amelia, Virginia.
She leaves behind 14 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren, her dear Friends: Mary New and Mildred Jarrells. She also leaves with great affection her loyal dog Duchess, faithful for many years.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 12 Noon to 1 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service. Memorial services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to: Carilion Hospice Service of Franklin County, 180 Floyd Avenue, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151 or Glade Hill Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 82, Glade Hill, Virginia 24092.
