Linda Sue Goad

Linda Sue Goad, age 63 of Henry, went home to be with her Lord Sunday, February 7, 2010. Our Sue fought a long hard battle in this world but today she is walking with her Jesus on streets of gold. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roger “Peanut” Goad; nephews, Josh Goad, Conner Williams; and her niece, Elizabeth Hundley. She left behind her precious father and mother, Brainard and Essie Goad of Henry; her brother, David Goad and wife Sue of Roanoke; and her sister-in-law, Hilda P. Goad of Henry. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Sue’s joy for life and her family is a testament of her love and faith. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 10 a.m. Thursday with Rev. J. Michael Magnani officiating. Interment will follow in Henry Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Prillaman Baptist Church, 3480 Prillaman Switch Road, Ferrum, Virginia 24088. Her family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral and Cremation Service, Rocky Mount.
