Linda B. Griffin

Linda Carol Beaver Griffin, age 76 of Penhook, transitioned to her heavenly home on Monday, June 19, 2023. She was born on March 9, 1947, to Louis and Ruth Beaver in Rockwell, NC. Linda enjoyed her time caring for “her” birds and flowers, as well as making sure her family was very well taken care of. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Gene Griffin. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeffrey Morton of Tampa, Florida, Lea Ann Morton of Graham, NC, Spencer Morton of Penhook, VA, and Candy Morton Alderman and husband Charles Alderman of Graham, NC. She has ten grandchildren, Charles Jones, Johnathon Morton and wife Amber Morton, Colby Morton, Tiffany Morton Guffey and husband Nick Guffey, Carol Watson, Colin Morton and wife Leah Morton, Casey Alderman and wife Lauren Alderman, Baylee Morton, Camille Morton, and Emma Morton. She has nine great-grandchildren, Teegen, Brady, and Bryar Morton; Reagan Clark and Gavin Guffey; Naomi, Connor, Micah Morton, and Austin Alderman. A graveside ceremony will be held at Mill Creek Baptist Church, 6200 Henry Rd, Henry, VA 24102, on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Wade Cox officiating. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
