Linda Hodges

Linda Gale Hodges, age 56 of Ferrum was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother, and caring sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. Linda enjoyed spending time with her dogs and cats, especially her good companions, “Bud-Lee” and “Gina”. She also loved going fishing, planting a garden and cooking for anyone that dropped by or needed any of her special treats. Linda is survived by her husband, Harvey Hodges of 23 years; son, Doyle Clinton Hodges; and daughter-in-law, Amy Sheree Pruitt; step-son, Kevin Altice (Jodie); step-grandsons; mother-in-law, Mae Hodges; brothers-in-law, Harold Hodges, Kerry Hodges (Carole), Greg Hodges (Valeria); sister-in-laws, Stella Altice, Joyce Kennedy; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lilly Geneva “Bea” Stanley and Herman Doyle Stanley; father-in-law, Clinton Hodges; numerous aunts and uncles. Graveside services will be conducted from Republican Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery 3 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Kendall Smith officiating. Her family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
