Linda Tyree Patterson

Linda Tyree Patterson of Rocky Mount, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was born June 9, 1942 and passed on her 80th birthday. Linda was the only daughter of the late Henry Allen and Vesta Gregory Tyree. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert “Eddy” Patterson, Sr. She is survived by two sons, Robert E. Patterson, Jr. (Wendy) and Joseph A. Patterson; brother, Ronnie Tyree (Brenda); and sister-in-law Evelyn Dowdy. Also surviving are five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to Karen, Lisa and Margie, for their devoted care of Linda the past several months. Linda worked for the Franklin County Schools for 31 years and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022 with Pastor Eric Winn officiating. Interment will follow in the Patterson Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends for one hour preceding the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
