Linda Frances Poindexter

Linda Frances Poindexter, age 66 of Glade Hill passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born May 11, 1949 a daughter of the late Boyd and Myrtle Holland. Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Fred; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Wes Hudson; son, Christopher Poindexter and girlfriend Fatima; granddaughters, Abby, Daisy, Aly and Ariana; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ellis Holland and Diane, Tommy Holland and Pam; loving sister and brother-in-law, Joyce Perdue and Lewis; step-mother, Lonnie Holland; special niece, Samantha and husband Brandon; several other nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Red Oak Manor and Medi Hospice for their care. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Judy Short officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association or Medi Hospice. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
