Linda Gail Turner, age 54 of Rocky Mount, passed away quietly on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 after battling cancer for two years.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, and friend to all that had the pleasure to know her. Linda worked at MW until she was diagnosed with cancer two years ago. Throughout her battle with cancer, she kept counsel with God and was ready to join him in heaven.
Her father, Roger Glen Hunt, and her three sisters, Violet Denise Hodges, Brenda Faye Hunt, and Pansy Ann Hunt preceded her in death.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Crystol Turner; daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Jeffrey Black; grandchildren, DJ Turner, Peyton Black, Alexander Black, Savannah Turner and Brandon Turner; ex-spouse and special friend, Donny Turner; mother, Frances Hunt; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Barry and Sharon Dudley, Connie and Junior Hodges, Becky Hunt; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and June Hunt, Saford Hunt, Bruce Hunt, Roger and Betty Hunt, Joseph Hunt; special niece, Kelly Smith; numerous special relatives including, Shelia Furrow, Tina Furrow, Emily Furrow, Jeanette Turner, Pat Hall, and special friends including Barry from MW; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, friends and other relatives. Linda will be missed by all.
A memorial service will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Ronald Coleman officiating.
Her family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
