Linda Diane (Winky) Hudson Little

Linda Diane (Winky) Hudson Little, age 74, of Boones Mill died Sunday, June 5, 2022 following a battle with dementia. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Coolidge Hudson; infant sister, Susan Denise Bruce; and brother, Paul Wesley Hudson. Surviving are her husband, Jerry Little; sons, Jeffrey Craig Mullins, Matthew Todd (Wesley Anne) Little, Shannon Ellis (Jeff), Jeff Little (Debra); grandchildren, Britni Little, Cole Little, Hayden Ellis, Keaton Ellis, Ryan Ellis; mother, Lonnie Hudson Bruce Holland; brothers, Mark Coolidge (Darlene) Hudson, Phillip Lee (Ann) Bruce, Kenneth Wayne (Karen) Bruce; sister, Deborah Hudson Corn (Bill); sister-in-law, Bonnie Turner Hudson. Linda earned her B.S. from East Tennessee State and her Masters of Education from Radford University. Linda worked for Virginia Public Schools for 35 years and helped thousands of children during her career of service. She retired as a Director of Special Education in Roanoke City Public Schools. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Franklin Memorial Park with Rev. Anthony Budzick officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to Rehoboth United Methodist Church (General Fund) 1447 Wirtz Road, Wirtz, Virginia 24184. Her family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
