Lloyd C. Bowles

Lloyd C. Bowles, age 81 of Rocky Mount died Wednesday, May 14, 2014. He was born April 11, 1933 a son of the late Odie and Mildred Gibson Bowles. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margarette Dudley Bowles. Lloyd retired from Johnson-Carper Furniture Company and was a United States Army Veteran. Surviving are his three sons, Garlin W. Bowles, Jessie L. Bowles and Lloyd C. Bowles, Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, William O. and Janet Bowles; sisters and brother-in-law, Irene and James T. Pierce, Sarah Stump, Ruby Wilder; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted from Henry Fork Church of the Brethren Cemetery 11 a.m. Friday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating.
