Lois Ellen Chitwood

Lois Ellen Chitwood, age 78 of Rocky Mount, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012. She was born August 31, 1933, a daughter of the late George Robert Hall and Beulah Abagail Young Hall. Surviving are her children, Donna Weaver, Eddie Chitwood and Angie, Michael Chitwood and Sandy; her sisters, Maebelle Honaker and Ruby Bailey; grandchildren, Bradley Weaver, Robbie Weaver, Ashley Weaver, Blake Chitwood and Grayson Chitwood, Archer Jones, Carson Chitwood and Alex Wimmer; nieces, Dorothy Wimmer, Lisa Powell and Chris, Jodey Altice and Kevin; a great-nephew, Michael Wimmer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Susie Cross, Billy and Emma Shelton, Claude and Sue Chitwood, Frankie and Diane Chitwood, Bobby and Ella Chitwood and Donnie and Mary Chitwood, Minnie Chitwood; a number of other family members and friends. Lois had a special place in her heart to many children that she cared for in the Day Care. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Rick Poland and Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
