Lois Idell Harris

Lois Idell Harris, age 88 of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allie Mae Burr and Bud Shue; husband, Robert Harris; and brother, Carl Shue. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, William E. “Billy” Melton and Gail; daughter, Patsy G. Melton; grandchildren, Stacy K. and wife Laura Melton, Cory Carwyle and Nikki, Jeff Goodwin and wife Tammy, Tammy and Terry; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 10 a.m. Saturday with Minister Steve Pasley and Rev. Jackie Spence officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Wadesboro, NC 4:00 p.m. Saturday. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
