Lois Shivley Meador

Lois Shivley Meador, o n February 8, 2020, after several years of Alzheimers, hope and belief was fulfilled as she left to be present with her Lord and Savior. She was born on October 7, 1927 to her beloved parents, Hershel and Zonie Snead Shively and was married to her loving husband, James Meador, for over 63 years. Lois formerly lived in Burnt Chimney and was a member of Laurel Ridge Primitive Baptist Church. Her heart was dedicated to serving her Lord, her family, and her community. Mom was known for cooking a truck load of food for church meals and family gatherings and always being EARLY. Many neighbors came to have her sew or alter clothing, cut and fix their hair, and exchange garden produce. She was also a dedicated caregiver to her children, mother, mother-in-law and, eventually, to her husband.

Left to miss her are her son, Joey Meador; her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Ricky Clifton; a brother, Lester Shively (Doris Ann); sisters, Lottie Cundiff (Andrew), Judy Talley (Bill);
sisters-in-law, Velma Meador, Berta Mae Snoddy (Houston). She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We want to thank our 2nd family, the Boswells--Mearl (Bugs), Lee, Lenzie, Emily and the staff at Live, Laugh, Love for her nursing care and friendship over the past 5 years.

A visitation will be held at Flora Funeral Service at 10:00 with an 11:00 funeral service to follow on Wednesday, February 12th. Elder Tim Crane will officiate. Burial will follow at Franklin Memorial Park.
