Lois Reece Scott, age 66 of Ferrum passed away Monday July 2, 2007.
She was born October 29, 1940, a daughter of the late Richard and Edith Boone Reece. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Benson Scott; brother John Henry Reece; in-laws Oscar Thelma Scott, Naomi Scott Shively, Danny Shively; brother-in-law Gary Scott.
She ran the Ferrum Craft Shop for many years and was a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her children and spouses Terri and C.W. Doss, Jeff and Phyllis Scott; grandchildren Jeremiah and Haley Doss, Jennie Doss, Christopher Doss, Rob and Vicki Brown, Brandon Scott and friend Lauren Thurman; sister-in-law Audrey Reece; brother and sister-in-law Dub and Lovviner Scott; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Maple Grove Fellowship Hall Fund, c/o Debbie Scott, 6310 Turners Creek Rd., Ferrum, VA 24088.
Funeral services will be conducted from Maple Grove United Methodist Church 2:00 p.m. Wednesday with Dr. Jack Corvin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Her family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service time on Wednesday at the church and other times at the home of Terri and C.W. Doss.
