Lora Ann Altice

Lora Ann Altice, age 57 of Rocky Mount died Thursday, September 13, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Leon Altice; siblings, Sandra Newman Price (David), Wilford Daniel Newman, Jr., Ricky Lee Newman; parents, Wilford and Catherine Newman; and brother-in-law, Gary Barger. Surviving are her son, Jonathan Paul Newman; daughter, Courtney Newman Sanchez (Jessie); grandchildren, Kenneth Daniel Hicks, Brianna Centry Hicks, Daisha Shea Hicks, Robert Joseph Hicks, Madison Jane Newman; sisters, Rosemary Newman Barger, Darlene Newman Gusler (Terry); and special companion, John Paul Moore. Lora received her GED after going to Franklin County High School. She was a caregiver to multiple people in her lifetime and an exceptional artist. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping at Walmart for her grandkids. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Joe Dillon and Pastor Danny Totten officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Visitation will be private. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
