Loraine Ikenberry Anderson

Loraine Ikenberry Anderson, age 94, formerly of Boones Mill, Va. died at Bridgewater Home, Bridgewater, Va. on Sunday, March 14, 2010. She was born on July 31, 1915, in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Riley and Robbie Hunt Ikenberry. She was a teacher in the Franklin County schools for 33 years. She was married to the late Henry David Anderson for 67 years. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Sue A. and Wyatt Blankingship of Metairie, LA.; Ann A. Scott of Harrisonburg, Va. and Charles Scott of West Augusta, Va., Robbie A. and John Ellen of Fairfax Station, Va. She is also survived by the following grandchildren, Chris and Karen Botkin, Brian Botkin, Kevin and Susan Botkin, Loraine and John Goff, Ashley and David McGinley, Ryan and Laura Ellen, Jon and Tina Ellen, Janna Ellen and Rebecca Ellen; eleven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be conducted at Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 with Pastor Bruce Huffman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. (A fellowship meal will be served at 12 noon for family and friends). Private interment services will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park.
