Lorene M. Franklin

Lorene M. Franklin, age 101 of Rocky Mount died Monday, August 30, 2021. Lorene was born December 6, 1919 in Pittsylvania County to the late Henry T. Mitchell and Bessie Barbour Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George H. Franklin; sons, Billy Franklin, Kenneth Wayne Franklin; grandsons, Greg Stanley, Harry Faw, Jr. She was a member of Fork Mountain United Methodist Church. Surviving are her children, Barbara Ingle (Henry, deceased), Frances McCambridge (Ronald), Lois Faw (Harry), G.T. Franklin (Era), Tammy Franklin (Kenneth Wayne); numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Franklin Family Cemetery with Pastor Chris Bennett officiating. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
