Lorene T. Hale

Lorene T. Hale, 93 of Henry, went to her Heavenly home to meet Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior on December 4, 2014 and was reunited with her husband Grant and daughter Teresa Spencer. She was also preceded in death by her parents Otha and Eula Thomas, brothers Vestal and Buren. She was a charter member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church and was a loving "Granny" to all. Her surviving family includes her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Bobby Whitlow of Henry; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Teresa Hale of Redwood; son-in-law Sam Spencer; sister Hazel Ingram of Axton; Five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren and one future great, great grandchild; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and special friends. Services will be at Twin Oaks Baptist, 2pm Sunday, December 7, 2014 with Pastor Terry Covey officiating. Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Flora Funeral Chapel in Rocky Mount on Saturday, December 6th from 6 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Building Fund, Twin Oaks Baptist Church, 2313 Henry Road, Ferrum, VA 24088.
