Louis Jefferson Hollandsworth, age 81 of Fork Mountain passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. He was born November 6, 1934 a son of the late James and Lilly Hollandsworth and was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ledford, Oscar, Herndon, and William Hollandsworth; and two sisters, Nora Wolfe and Doris Cannaday. Louis served his country in the United States Army and was a Truck Driver for 50 years and owned L.J. Hollandsworth Trucking. He was a devoted grandfather known to his grandchildren as “Papa Louis”. Surviving are his wife, Sally Hollandsworth; daughters, Donna Bousman (Jim), Vickie Robertson (Alex); son, Monty Atkins; grandchildren, Katelyn and Brandon; sisters, Ruby Adkins and Jean Cassell; brothers, Joseph (Arvene) Hollandsworth and Carl Hollandsworth. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Evangelistic House of Prayer. His family will receive friends one hour prior at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
