Louise Dudley Law, 75, of Rocky Mount, Va. went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 21, 2009.

She was a charter member of Rocky Mount First Church of the Brethren. Mrs. Law was employed at Bristol Manufacturing for over 40 years and retired from Peebles. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be remembered for her acts of kindness and never having an unkind word toward anyone.

Mrs. Law was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Buren John Law; a son, David Buren Law; her parents, Stuart J. Dudley and Hilda Cundiff Dudley Yeatts; and her father and mother-in-law, John Willie Law and Sally McBride Law.

Left to cherish her memory is a son and his special friend, Marshall W. Law of Rocky Mount and Linda Hadgkiss of Ridgeway; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Tommy Barlow of Catawba, and Betty and George Kosko, Jr. of Roanoke; a former daughter-in-law and her special friend, Debra Law and Dave Voss of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren, Kimberly Law Aaron and husband Matt, Kevin Law, Keith Law, Kristina Kosko and Tyler Kosko. She is also survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Faye Dudley, Andrew and Lynn Dudley, and Kenneth and Jewel Dudley; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Janice and Dennis Powell, Audrey and Buddy Craghead, and Norene Bolling; her extended family of brother and sisters-in-law; Allen Calvin (A.C.) and Paulette Law, Geneva Law Boone, and Frances Law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the oncology departments of Carilion Hospital and UVA Medical Center for the excellent care she received throughout her illness. They would also like to thank church family and friends who lent their support, love, and prayers to the entire family.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rocky Mount First Church of the Brethren located on Tanyard Road, Rocky Mount with Rev. John Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Mount First Church of the Brethren or the American Cancer Association.
