Louise France Young

Martha “Louise” France Young, 81 passed away, peacefully, Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at her home in Ferrum, Virginia. She was born in Lebanon, Virginia, March 18, 1937, the daughter of the late William Jennings France and Audrey Pauline Warner France. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Stanford Young; brothers, Johnny France, Bobbie France, and Calvin France; and, sister-n-law, Gale France. Surviving are her children Billy Young (Debbie) and Barry Young (Angel); grandchildren, Donna, Donald, Tabetha, Ashley, Lisa, Amy, and Brycen; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Clark and Faye Wray; sister-n-laws, Serena France and Gloria France; long-time friend, George Sowder; and, favorite pet, Lulu. Louise was a kindhearted woman who loved each person she met. Only seeing the good in people was a quality she blessed everyone with. She worked at Stanley Furniture for over 25 years and only had good things to say about all of her coworkers and her time spent there. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 28th at Flora Funeral Service with Pastor Eugene Chitwood officiating. Following the service, a private interment will be held at the Young Family Cemetery in Ferrum. The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, February, 27th from 6-8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
