Lowell David Brubaker

Lowell David Brubaker, age 83 of Rocky Mount died Wednesday, November 21, 2012. He was born February 24, 1929 and was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Edith Clingenpeel Brubaker; brother-in-law, Elbert Milliron; and sister-in-law, Hazel F. Brubaker. Lowell was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ivy Rose Angle Brubaker; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Debbie Brubaker of Rocky Mount, Jeffrey and Sandy Brubaker of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Abby Brubaker and Ryan Brubaker both of Rocky Mount, Matthew Brubaker of Cleveland, Ohio, Christopher Brubaker of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother, Dr. Herman Brubaker and wife Betty of Roanoke; sister, Letha B. Milliron of Roanoke; nieces, Marcia Flora and husband Jerrold, Faye King and husband Tom; nephews, Dr. Wally Brubaker and wife Susan, Don Brubaker and wife Gale; great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends, Ray, Glenda, Kendall and Kara Dodson. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the caring staff of Unit One East at the Virginia Veterans Care Center and Gentle Shepherd Hospice of Roanoke for their care and concern. Funeral services will be conducted from Antioch Church of the Brethren 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Eric Anspaugh officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
