Luke Quinn, age 90 of Ferrum died Saturday, February 13, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Margaret Quinn; wives, Estelle and Eula Ina Quinn; brothers and sisters, George, Joel, Ora, Lindberg, Tyler, Bertha, Mike, Oliver, Cora, Hattie and Albert; step-mother, Martha; and grandson, Kevin. Mr. Quinn was a United States Army Veteran of World War II and received the Purple Heart. He also retired from Bassett Furniture with many years of service. Surviving are his children, Margaret (Mike), William “Sonny” (Evalee), Jean (Mike), William (Brenda), Susan (Dale), Gene (Ann), Ina Maye, Janice, and Amanda; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Frankie, Otha and Sarah. Funeral services will be conducted from Maple Grove United Methodist Church 3 p.m. Wednesday with Pastors Dave Cuthbertson and Tim Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the Quinn Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
