Lula Mae Dalton

Lula Mae Dalton, age 65 of Rocky Mount VA, passed away peacefully Monday, July 26, 2021 with her family by her side. She was born May 30, 1956, in Welch WV, daughter of the late Christine Cosby England Walker and Jesse James Walker. Lula became of one Jehovah Witnesses in 1973. She knew when she died, as Job 14:14-15 promised, that she would never be forsaken by Jehovah and would only be sleeping until he called. Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous as to forget your works and the love you showed for his name. She dedicated her life to do Jehovah's will and help others to know they would have this hope. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Dalton; daughter, Veronica Hodges (Ronnie); and two granddaughters that were the light of her life, Hannah and Autumn; sisters, Brenda Parrott (Donald) of Indiana, Jeanne Belcher (Late husband Glenn) of Brenton, WV; brothers, Richard Walker (Late wife Belinda) of Glen Morgan WV, Rocky Walker (Mary) of Indiana, Lonnie Walker of Big Sandy; late brother, Ronnie Walker of WV; her sweet fur baby, Choco; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend, Sarah Hicks. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2021 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Elder Douglas Divers officiating. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Airport Road, Roanoke VA. Pallbearers will be Jeff Underwood, Drifton Underwood, Travis Underwood, Andrew Robertson, Owen Cepelnik and David Cepelnik.
