Lynette Giver Morrison

Lynnette Giver Morrison, age 86 of Collinsville passed away Friday, August 11, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Morrison Jr.; parents, John and Kathryn Giver; and brother, John P. Giver, Jr. Surviving are her sons, Donald Morrison (Mary) and Kenneth Morrison (Eugenia); two grandchildren, Megan Morrison and Bryce Morrison; sister, Chaleen Battaglia (Joe); and nieces and nephews. She was a devout Catholic and a dedicated member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Rocky Mount, Virginia. A graveside service for Woodrow and Lynette will be conducted at Mt Zion cemetery in Penhook, Virginia 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2023 with Pastor Mike Finley officiating. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Mulberry Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the outstanding care that Lynette received during her time there.  Memorial services for Woodrow and Lynette will be held at the graveside, Mt. Zion Cemetery, Penhook, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2023, with Pastor Mike Finley officiating. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
