Macarthur "Mac" Mccoy

Macarthur McCoy “Mac”, age 65 of Wirtz, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007. Mr. McCoy was preceded in death by his wife Frances “Drew” McCoy; and one son Tony McCoy. He was retired from Stanleytown Furniture with 18 years of service and also worked in the coal mines. He was a great man who loved his children and grandchildren. Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law Wilbur and Helen McCoy; sister and brother-in-law Phoebe and Curtis Craddock; son Mark Anthony Adkins and wife Sherry; grandchildren Venessa Perdue, Chris Perdue, Michelle Anderson, Nathan Anderson; one great-grandchild Owen; nieces and nephews Kaitlyn McCoy, Mike and Michelle Ingram, and Josh and Samantha McCoy. His family would like to thank Dr. Lyne Aigner and the nurses of Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital. His family will be receiving friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount. Funeral services will be conducted from Little Dove Old Regular Baptist Church in Hurley, VA on Wednesday. The time of the service will be announced.
