Margaret Babb Doughton

Margaret Babb Doughton, age 77 of Rocky Mount went to be with her Lord Friday, October 30, 2009. She was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Doughton. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Paul Doughton of Rocky Mount; children, Patricia Elliott of Dallas, TX, Michelle (Frank) Camp of Appomattox, Donna Doughton of Martinsville, Samone Doughton and fiancé Joey Setzer of Edenton, NC; son, Paul A. (Tanjie) Doughton of Ferrum; grandchildren, James (Faith) Elliott, Courtney Camp, Mac Camp, Michael Camp, Bryann Camp, Tracie (Dewey) Radford, Joey (Michelle) Pruitt, Travis Pruitt, Barry Davis, Ryan Lynch-Doughton, Amanda Doughton, Anna Doughton; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn (Larry) Young of Martinsville; Sherrie Perez, who looked after her and loved her; Ray and Linda Vernon who were there for her whenever she needed someone; caregiver and friends, Linda Rymanski. Her happiness was her church family, visiting the sick and shut in and bowling when able. Private family services will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Furnace Creek Baptist Church. Her family will be receiving friends at the home, 55 Highview Terrace, Rocky Mount, Va.
