Margaret Everlene Griffith Chaney

Margaret Everlene Griffith Chaney, age 76 of Ferrum died Tuesday, August 25, 2015. She was born December 1, 1938 and was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Thomas Griffith and Ora Blanche Mt. Castle; husband, Roosevelt Chaney; infant daughter, Teresa A. Chaney; children, Roosevelt Junior Chaney and Gregory D. Chaney. Surviving are her children, Margie Angle (Gene), Todd Chaney (Renee), Barry Chaney (Donna); grandchildren, Toby Chaney, Kaydale Reed, Brandon Chaney, Judson Holley, Kelsey Chaney; sister, Tina Hall (Harrison), Barbara Shively (A.J.), Goldie Hale (Jimmie); brother, Homer Lee Griffith (Laura); aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and church family. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Adam Coombs officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountcastle Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Relay for Life of Franklin County, P.O. Box 3907, Martinsville, Va. 24115 or Carilion Hospice of Franklin County, 180 Floyd Ave., Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
