Margaret Brown Guy

Margaret Brown Guy, of Smith Mountain Lake, formally of Richmond, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016. After a five year long battle with reoccurring health challenges. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Mark Guy; her son, Calvin Spencer Griffin and wife, Valerie Griffin; daughter-in law, Sheila Faye Griffin; beloved niece, Sharon Hudson, her husband Emmett Hudson; nephew, Carl Pittman Brown; four granddaughters, Heather Renee Griffin, Kristina Michelle Griffin, Michelle Cheyenne Griffin and Charlotte Marie Griffin. Margaret was preceded in death by her youngest son, Michael Lee Griffin; two sisters, Barbara Jane Jones and Edith Elizabeth Brown. A memorial service will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2016 with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount. The family wishes to thank the neighbors on Egret Drive for their love and compassion.
