Margaret Christine Hartman, age 71 of Rocky Mount died Saturday, June 21, 2008 in the local hospital.
She was born February 21, 1937 a daughter of the late Joseph Earl and Nannie Mae Parker. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Leon Hartman; and her brother, Jimmy Parker.
She is survived by her daughters, Valerie Spradlin and Jessie Rickmond, Catherine and Glenn Davis, Carol Hartman and Brady Paschal; her grandchildren, Michael Spradlin, Emmett and Stephanie Davis, Wayne Spradlin and Jennifer Hartman; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances and Randolph Maxwell, Jane and Jimmy Hunley, Elizabeth Snead and Marie Markham; special friend, Curtis Etter.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the Jordan Family Cemetery in Roanoke County.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
