Margaret Hall Hubbard

Margaret Hall Hubbard, age 87 of Rocky Mount died Saturday, December 30, 2017. She was born September 1, 1930 a daughter of the late Dewey and Hilda Wray Hall. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse C. “J.C.” Hubbard, Jr.; sister, Anna Lee Hall; and grandson, Barry Hartman, Jr. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Charlotte Hubbard, Karl and Julie Hubbard; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Ronnie Harden; grandchildren, Cliff Hubbard, Charlie Hubbard, Maggie Davis, Donovan Hartman; step-grandchildren, Jonathan Hall, Crystal Perez; great-grandchildren, Kyler Hubbard, Gessika Fox, Lily Hubbard, Lucas Davis, Tristan Kent, Niaa Gravely, Lucas Hall; brother and sister-in-law, Wesley and Madeline Hall; sisters-in-law, Patsy Hubbard and Shirley (Harold) Stroupe; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thank you to her caregivers, Bonnie Smith, Ann Hodges, Linda Harden and Becky Smith. Also thank you to Carilion Hospice for their care and concern. Mrs. Hubbard was a 1947 graduate of Rocky Mount High School and was a member of the BETA Club. She was employed with MW Windows for 23 years and later with Ideal Building. She was a lifelong member of Redwood United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School and was the church Bookkeeper for many years. Funeral services will be conducted from Redwood United Methodist Church 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Bradley S. Dulaney officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Redwood United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3001 Old Franklin Turnpike, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151. Her family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
