After spending 84 years bringing joy and happiness to her family and friends, Margaret Buckles Robertson, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, June 20, 2014. She joined her beloved husband, Hairston (Robbie) Robertson. Together, they owned and operated ROBBIE'S COUNTRY CORNER for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her parents C. M. and Rausa Buckles, and her sisters Mildred, Carlene, and Wilma. She will lovingly be remembered by her children, Joyce R. Budd, Gary & Patty Robertson, and Mark & Melissa Robertson. She was so proud of her grandchildren; Tiffany Anderson and Jamie, Ashley Harris and Brandon, Tabitha Graham and Scott, Whitney Robertson and Cris, and McKinley Robertson. And she adored her five great-grandchildren; William & Caroline Anderson, Trey & Aden Harris and Cora Graham. They will always remember the spell Meemaw put on them as babies when she rocked them while singing "Bye-o-bye-o". Margaret also leaves behind her sister, Alma B. Rex, sister-in-law Louise Guy and Harold, sister-in-law Rachel Robertson, and many special nieces and nephews. Margaret will be remembered for her love of cooking. She will be remembered for her love of gardening and canning green beans and tomatoes. She will be remembered for her quick wit, silly sense of humor, and her love of playing tricks on people. But most of all, Meemaw will be remembered for her love of family. Her happiest moments were when she had all of her kids and grandkids under her roof sharing one of her delicious meals. She was our rock, our confidant, our Meemaw. Her spirit will live on in all of us. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at Halesford Baptist Church, Wirtz, VA. The funeral will follow at 7 p.m. at the church. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Roanoke, VA. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
