Margie Stump Gibson

Margie Stump Gibson, age 88 of Ferrum went to be with the Lord on the evening of Saturday, August 27, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Vernon Gibson Sr.; and son, Eugene Gibson. Surviving are her children, Carole White, Larry Gibson, Edgar Vernon Gibson, Jr. (Ann), and Corlis G. Boitnott (Danny Fariss); six grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Hicks and Lillie Holland; and sister-in-law, Lutie Stump. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Terry Covey officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
