Marie Perdue

Marie Pagans Perdue, age 91, of Union Hall, passed away peacefully Sunday morning July 30, 2017, with family by her side. She was born May 24, 1926. Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years Otey Perdue, and is now eternally reunited with him. Marie was also preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Willie Pagans; brothers, Grover Pagans, Alfred Pagans, Grady Pagans, Richard Pagans; and dear sister, Rachel Pearman. She is survived by her children, Ronnie Perdue, Don Perdue (Donna), Sharon White (Dan), and Kathy Angle (Ronnie); grandchildren, Jennifer Vaden (Matthew), Jonathan Amos (Kathryn), Matthew Angle (Ashley), Lindsey Perdue (Justin) and Breanna Perdue (Sid); seven great-grandchildren; her brothers, Russell Pagans, Oscar Wayne Pagans (Lorraine); nieces and nephews. Marie was a loving wife, mother and friend and an inspiration to all who knew her. She enjoyed painting, writing, and crafts, but especially enjoyed her flowers and vegetable garden. Special thanks to Glade Hill Rescue Squad and Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital staff for their kindness and support during this difficult time. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Joe Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
