Marion Rebecca Mccomsey

Marion Rebecca McComsey, age 85 of Lynchburg, VA passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 in Runk and Pratt’s Pearls of Life Memory Care from Alzheimer’s complications. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 3, 1939, the youngest child of the late Richard and Marion Proctor.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harold “Mac” McComsey; sister and brother-in-law, Bette and Richard Thompson; and her son-in-law, John “Bill” Nance. Marion worked for Wolfe and Penn, Periodontists, and for House Call Home Healthcare agency. She enjoyed gardening and all types of needlework and sewing. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Nance of Lynchburg; son, Douglas and his wife Mary; grandchildren, Monica Zimmerman and her husband, Todd, Kyle McComsey and his wife, Kelsey all of Chesterfield, Taylor Nance of St. Augustine, FL; great-grandchildren, Harper and Riley Zimmerman and Charlotte McComsey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer’s research. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Franklin Memorial Park.
