Marjorie Aileen Weinmann Davies of Rocky Mount, Virginia went from the loving arms of her family to her Lord and Savior?s arms Tuesday, January 14th. Margie was born June 15, 1926 in Paterson, NJ. She received her business degree from Sherwood Secretarial School. Her life was a testimony of her love for her Lord. She was married for 64 years to Don Davies (Donnie Boy) the love of her life. Together they served Jacksonville Chapel, Lincoln Park, NJ for many years, and have more recently been faithful members and servants at Franklin Heights Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, VA for the last 20 years. She was an avid member of the Joy Club and loved to publish their monthly newsletter, always looking for ways to brighten the lives of others. The beautiful legacy of her life is her love for the Lord and her precious family, which was her second love. She was predeceased by her father & mother, Arthur & Ella Weinmann and her sister, Doris. Surviving are her husband, Don Davies of Rocky Mount, VA; three daughters, Jan Stanger and husband, Jimmy of Roanoke, VA, Kathy Petonak and husband George, of Pompton Plains, NJ, and Donna Bates and husband Charlie, of Boones Mill, VA.; as well as six grandchildren, Jason Stanger (Roanoke), Tim Petonak (Lincoln Park, NJ), Shannon Dunstan (Roanoke) Kristy Gregory (Pequannock, NJ), Joshua Krehbiel (Boones Mill) and Justin Krehbiel (Ferrum); and eight great-grandchildren, Kassidy Gregory, Maggie Dunstan, Kyle Gregory, Hallie Dunstan, Kadence Petonak, Karissa Gregory, Skylar Krehbiel, Kristian Petonak. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 18th, 2014, 11:00 at Franklin Heights Baptist Church, 110 Hilltop Dr., Rocky Mount, VA 24151 (540) 483-9507 with Dr. Stan Parris and Rev. J. Larry Holland, Pastor Emeritus officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. also at the church. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations be made to Franklin Heights Baptist Church-PICNIC PAVILION FUND. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
