Mark Douglas Bower

Mark Douglas Bower, age 61 of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026. He was born March 3, 1965, the son of the late Douglas Henry Bower and Betty Caroline Preston Bower. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Etta Preston. Surviving are his two children, Tiffany Caroline Bower and Mark Tyler Bower (Brittany); grandson, Weston Hodge; sisters, Rona Bower and Robin Hodges; and his lifelong companion, Shari Bower. The family would like to thank his caregiver, Charlene Washington and Carilion Hospice for all the care and comfort they provided for Mark. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Mark's memory. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2026 at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
