Mark Wayne Bowman

Mark Wayne Bowman, age 67 of Boones Mill passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011. He was a retired dairy farmer and enjoyed working in his wood shop and cutting meat at J&P Meat Processing. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Earl Bowman, Sr. and Frances Brubaker Bowman Wolf; step-father, Ernest Wolf; grandson, Reuben Bowman; great-grandson, Edward Jamison; daughter-in-law, Valenta Austin Bowman; and brother-in-law, David Bowser. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Mary Bowser Bowman; children and spouses, Andrew and Sheryl Bowman, Rachel and Donnie Austin, Rebecca and Kevin Brumbaugh, Levi and Ann Bowman, Ruth and Scott Woody, Lois and Chris Poland; 31 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lloyd and Joyce Bowman, Earl and Libby Bowman; sister-in-law, Bonnie Bowser Riffey and husband Harold. Funeral services will be conducted from Mountain View Old German Baptist Brethren Church 10 a.m. Saturday with the Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to someone you love. His family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Church.
