Martha E. Bures, age 90 of Moneta died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the Oakwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lesley Bures; her parents, James and Edith Gore; her sister, Eleanor Strickler; her brother and sister-in-law, James and Janet Gore; and brother, Donald Gore. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Eileen Gore, a sister-in-law, Gretchen Gore; 12 nieces and nephews, Scott Gore, Robin Coleman, Jay Gore, Eleanor Strickler, Frank Strickler, Edith Eckley, Ann Gore-Wilse, Lee Gore, Tim Gore, Paul Gore, Holly Nauss and David Gore. Martha was born on February 27, 1921 in Sewickley, PA. She lived most of her life in Coraopolis, PA. Following high school, she had a career in accounting, working for a number of firms in Pittsburgh, PA. She was an avid gardener, but loved music most of all. She enjoyed playing both the piano and organ. Memorial gifts may be made to the Trinity Ecumenical Parish, Moneta or to the Gideons International. A memorial service will be held at the Trinity Ecumenical Parish’s Bruce H. Cooke Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2011 with Pastor Gary Scheidt officiating.
