Martha Faye Frick

Martha Faye Frick, age 67 of Rocky Mount gained her wings and went to heaven on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. She was born June 14, 1949 to the late Wilson and Mary Dowdy. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Michele Frick. Martha was a very kind hearted and humble woman. She loved her McDonald’s coffee and lottery tickets almost as much as she loved her family and friends. She leaves her memories behind to be cherished by her longtime friend and partner, Michael Reel; loving daughter, Rhonda (Ricky) Adkins; grandchildren, Megan (Ethan) Brown, Takoda Poindexter, Amber Adkins, Cody Adkins; great-grandchildren, Bentley Brown, Jaycee Wilson, Remington Adkins; brothers and sisters, Johnny (Cindy) Dowdy, Frances Hurst, Blake Dowdy, James (Meisha) Dowdy, Mary Helen Shockley, Patty (Larry) Austin, Lidia Dowdy, Billy Wayne (Mona) Dowdy; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thanks all the Doctors and Nurses at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital and Hospice as well as the Rescue and Transport team for all their care and support. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment will follow in High Street Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
